Hi!  Glad you are visiting my "a little bit about me" page!

I live in beautiful Bellingham, WA, having moved in 2020 from Fort Collins, CO where I lived for over 20 years.  I grew up in Maine (ayuh!) and have also lived in Oregon.

My family is my most important thing:  husband Tim, daughter Hanna and her husband Eric and twin sons Flynn and Sam, and, of course, Finn our happy-go-lucky Labrador Retriever/Border Collie Mix.

I currently work as Special Projects Director at the Health District of Northern Larimer County,  in Fort Collins, CO, and am interim Director of Community Impact. In that role I work with community members and leaders to make sustainable improvements in health, mental health and substance use care. I also provide consulting services in a similar vein as well as leadership and organizational coaching , facilitation and training services through Mighty Acorn, LLC . Click here for my Linked In Profile

For fun, I love anything outdoors and active.  You'll often find me on my bike, in my kayak, or with hiking boots on. I've recently discovered that pickleball is rather addictive.

I love playing my guitar, ukulele and tin whistle, writing articles about travel and adventure, short stories, and essays and poetry, and am a trained oral storyteller. You can access my chapbook or read some of my published stories and articles here. Also check out Brand New View Photography for my portrait photography portfolio, and my photography pages for a variety of other photography. Mushroom hunting, gardening, thrift-shopping, yoga/meditation/flow arts, cooking, books and movies round out the too-many-things I like to do. I'm rather addicted to podcasts, chai tea, dogs (and animals in general), dark chocolate, lobster and crab, and my husband's freshly-roasted coffee. You can also find me on facebook.
